And I Quote

In regards to the noodles with Parmesan cheese we were eating the other day, Boston asked Ryder: "Hey Ry, you want some of that action?"

Go Suns!!!

OK, well maybe not so much last night (Suns:76 , Bobcats:98) BUT-it was still so much fun! Ammon and I left Friday morning for Charlotte, NC. It's about a 6 hour drive from Lexington. We arrived at our hotel, relaxed for a bit (oh wait, that was just me- Ammon was on a call), went shopping at Nordstrom (had gift cards from Christmas), ate at Cheesecake Factory (me chicken tacos, Ammon chicken chili, me chocolate raspberry cheesecake, ammon fresh banana cream cheesecake), then went to the big game! Ammon and I were both clothed in Steve Nash jerseys (Ammon because he's loved Nash forever, me because he's just so nice... and he play really well- take it from Nelly Fertado if you don't believe me ("game MVP, like Steve Nash!")). We came home the next morning so it was a rather quick trip but so much fun!!!! Below are some pics of the fun date!!!!
We tried so hard to get a picture of the two of us pre-game but could never get it quite right

So we resorted to this

At the game- a little embarrassing walking out at the end

Grant Hill and Shaq

Hill and Nash!

Again

We had to take this picture because we thought it was so funny! Look at the poor rookie to the left of Shaq. Last week he made him move to the end of the row when he came to sit down. This time, Shaq let him stay but I bet he wishes he was at the other end of the bench. It was so sad, rookie kept trying to look around Majerle to see the game.

PS- Of course you can't just go away without kids without mucho help. So, mom and dad- thank you so so much for watching out kids. We didn't have to worry even once about them because we knew they were in great hands. My dad took the two older two kids to Chuck E Cheese's and Madagascar 2. My mom took great care of Ryder who wasn't feeling very good. Plus here is the extra above and beyond bonus! Ready? When we got home, my house was spotless including laundry all done!!!! It was a dream come true!!! Thanks mom and dad! I love you!

Also- thank you so much Adsie for all the help with the tickets. Lovies!!!

Happy Birthday Tyler!!!!

Today my baby girl turned 5 years old! I can't believe it! Here are just 5 reason why I LOVE TYLER!
1. Tyler has the sweetest laugh and smile. She has a pretty mature sense of humor for her age so she laughs along with Ammon and me at the funny things her brothers do. I love when I am out and about with the kids and one of my boys does something so wrong and Tyler is looking at me shaking her head and smiling because she gets it. It's nice to have someone to laugh with!
2. She has such a talent for singing and is willing to share it with EVERYONE. I like that she will preform on command (usually). Her singing makes me smile.
3. She helps me ALL the time- even when I don't ask. If I am changing Ryder's diaper and Boston needs something, she doesn't wait for me to ask her to help him, she just does it on her own. If she hears Ryder crying, she usually has the problem solved before I can get to him.
4. She says such good prayers. Whenever we ask her to pray, Ammon and I love to hear the things she is thankful for. The other day in Primary she said during a prayer, "we are thankful for the opportunity we have to have love in our hearts." She comes up with stuff like this on her own all the time. Her prayers come from her heart.
5. Tyler is such a good friend to me! I love that I get to be with Tyler every single day. I enjoy her company. She is funny, sweet, obedient and so loving. I look forward to how our friendship will continue to grow over the years.

I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!!

Here are a few pictures from her birthday.

Something Doesn't Add Up

Today while I was in our office, Tyler came running in yelling, "MOM! You have got to see what Ryder did! It's really bad." When I walked into my bedroom I found the following:

It seems a little odd to me that Ryder can't even draw a straight line on a piece of paper and yet he was able to make smiley faces on his forehead and cheek. I guess Tyler just couldn't resist.

Tyler and Mindy's Adoption Blog

My little brother Tyler and his wife Mindy are getting started with the adoption process. They have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant. They have done artificial insemination multiple times and in vitro multiple times with no success. Tyler and Mindy were made to be parents. They are so good with my kids, and I know they will be the best parents! Mindy has created a blog about them and their desire to be parents.

Check it out- Spread the word

Don't You Hate...

when you are cleaning up your house and there is a pick where it isn't supposed to be so you stick it in your hair with the intention of putting it away when you make it to the bathroom to clean it up and then get doing other stuff and forget about it until you happen to walk by a mirror an hour later and see it and wonder why no one thought it out of the ordinary so didn't bother to mention it???
