My Kind of Vacation!

Two weekend ago, my mom, sister, and I took a little trip down to Orlando. We had so much fun! Basically, our schedule consisted of waking up around 8 or 9 (whatever we wanted!), getting some oatmeal and bagels, and sometimes pancakes too for breakfast, then heading to the pool to just relax and enjoy the weather and read or sleep or whatever we wanted!, then get some sort of spa treatment, then get ready, then head to dinner followed by some shopping. I could not ask for a better setup. We had such a fun weekend!!! It was wonderful to spend some time with my mom and sis- they are my best friends. It was so nice just to relax and have NOTHING I had to do and no kids to chase around. So, since I was just sitting by the pool sipping chocolate smoothies, someone was obviously picking up the slack. That person was my amazing husband Ammon. He took care of Tyler who was sick, Boston who sometimes requires a lot of attention (he's 2!), and making sure Ryder got to his 1 year check up. He did such a great job. I even came home to a clean house! Ammon is my little superhero! Thank you so much Ammon for letting me take a weekend off. I had so much fun! I love you!!! Below is the ONLY picture we took on the whole trip. Weak!!!

Party at Papa's

I am out of town this weekend and Ammon has been superman with the kiddles. He is such a good dad. I don't have to worry about anything when I leave because I know he is capable and that he loves our kids so much and takes such good care of them. Thanks for letting me have an incredible weekend Ammon! I love you! I will blog about the trip later.
So tonight my dad took Tyler and Boston to sleep at his house (so nice!). I emailed him to thank him and ask him how the kids were doing. Here is his response (I love this guy!):

We had a party

Accidents Happen

Brooke: "Look at all those ambulances and fire trucks, somebody must have been in an accident."
Boston: "Not me, 'cause I'm potty trained!"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYDER T (WYDER T-ZER, RT, RY GUY)

I can't believe my baby is 1!!! This year has gone by so fast because Ryder is such a good little baby. He's such a joy to be around. I'm actually sad he's getting older. He slept through the night (12 hour blocks!) at 2 months. He hardly ever cries. He always smiles and is so happy to see us. He is my little sunshine!!! Happy Birthday baby boy. We love you.

Tyler Blodgett Re-Enacting the Earring Mishap

Preschool Graduation

Last Friday, my oldest two kids had their preschool end of year programs. They did a really cute job. I'm really proud of them for graduating from their preschool classes and all but it was really nice having a few hours break during the week. What am I going to do now??? Here are a few pics.

I am SOOO Excited!!!!

For Mother's Day, Ammon gave me the Amazon Kindle. It is so cool. I downloaded The Host onto it and tried it out last night. It's amazing. Basically, you download books to the Kindle and then you read them electronically. The cool thing is, the screen doesn't hurt your eyes like a computer screen does because it pretty much looks like paper. It's really cool. I'm so excited about it. My Mother's Day was amazing! It started with Ammon and the kids bringing me breakfast in bed (oatmeal with cream!, toast and OJ). Then they gave me some really sweet cards and Tyler gave me the Princess Diaries 2 DVD and Boston gave me bath soaps and gels. Ammon then gave me the Kindle!!! After that, we went to church where Ammon gave a wonderful and inspiring talk about Mothers. After church, we had dinner at my parents and then Ammon let me take a SUNDAY NAP!!! It was a wonderful day. I am so blessed to be a mama. I love my little babies so so so much. I love Ammon too!
Enough about me!, I also wanted to wish my own mom HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! My mom is one of my best friends and I could not survive without her. She is the world's best nana and makes my kids feel so loved. I love you mom and hope to be just like you when I get bigger :)
Renee- I also feel really blessed to have an amazing mother-in-law. You are so good at nurturing and always lending a listening ear and offering loving solutions and needed support. I love you! Happy Mother's Day.

What's Wrong with This Picture?

You gotta hate when you get home from a nice dinner with your five closest neighbor friends and realize this! Look closely at the picture above. No, it's not the flat hair (it was raining like crazy!) and no it's not the red dot on my chin (aka a zit). It's something more concrete. Apparently it's a little tricky taking care of 3 kids and trying to get ready at the same time. WOW!
